Instructor Bio: Jimmy spent over 15 years in the US Navy SEAL Teams earning the rank of Chief Petty Officer (E7). During that time he earned Certifications as a Range Safety Officer for Live Fire, Dynamic Movement and Master Training Specialist. Jimmy also served for 7 years as an Operator and Lead Instructor for an Elite Federal Government Protective Detail for High Risk environments. During this time he earned his certification for FIDC Federal Firearms Instructor Development Course, Simunition Scenario Qualified Instructor and Facilitation Skills Workshop. Jimmy has trained Law Enforcement on the Federal, State, and Local level and has traveled nationally training communities in order to enhance their level of readiness in response to Active Shooter Situations.
Jimmy is currently the owner of Duty To Act, LLC. and the Director/ Lead Instructor for ASR Training Center, Corporate Security Training.

Introduction: This special 5 Day course is specifically designed for individuals with an interest in developing the skills necessary to effectively respond to a Crisis Situation in defense of themselves and others.
-The curriculum will be presented over 5 days, Unarmed Defense, Pistol Defense and Marksmanship, Live-Fire training, Tactical Movement skills, Bleeding Control, and a Final Training Exercise (FTX) engaging live-adversaries in a 360 degree range with training ammunition on Friday.
-Skills will be presented as a demonstration, explanation, and validation. This efficient progression through various techniques and shooting postures will culminate on Day 5 with training scenarios calling upon all learned skills.
Objective 1: Student will demonstrate safety with a pistol and recite 3 primary safety rules.
Objective 2: Student will demonstrate appropriate unarmed defense posture and striking skills.
Objective 3: Student will demonstrate appropriate armed presentation and accuracy.
Objective 4: Student will demonstrate appropriate Tactical Team Movement and Coverage techniques.
Objective 5: Student will demonstrate how to effectively function in a small group against live adversaries (real people) firing non lethal Simunition training munitions while appropriately applying tourniquets, neutralizing active threats, and defending innocent lives.
DAY 1 Course of Instruction will provide training and drills on; • Building an individual foundation for offense and defense • De-escalation techniques • Unarmed Defense skills • Introduction to Pistol Safety • Marksmanship Team Member will demonstrate in a live scenario the ability to safely handle a firearm, the ability to load, unload, and reload a pistol, and when to shoot or not shoot a live adversary. (Non Lethal training rounds will be used to simulate a real-world stimulus and student will provide the appropriate response as instructed).
DAY 2 Course of Instruction will provide training and drills on: • Tactical Movement (moving with a firearm). -Team Movement -Team Coverage -Zones of Responsibility
DAY 3 Course of Instruction will provide training and drills on: • Tactical Movement (moving with a firearm). -Team Movement -Team Coverage -Zones of Responsibility Team Member will demonstrate safe movement alone or with another Team Member and appropriately engage adversaries utilizing learned Armed or Unarmed skills in validation scenarios against real people.
DAY 4 Course of Instruction will provide training and drills on: • Situational Awareness, Introduction to Bleeding Control/Tourniquet Application • Intro to AR rifle platform and entry Team will demonstrate effective entry techniques with primary and secondary (rifle/pistol), and administer Emergency Bleeding Control as appropriate.
DAY 5 Course of Instruction will provide training and drills on: • Tactical Movement (cont’d) • Responsible Judgment Regarding Shoot/No-Shoot situations. -After Action Review Team Member will demonstrate the ability to successfully complete a Final Training Exercise (FTX) and demonstrate the ability to effectively enter or exit a space with a teammate and defend other team personnel against aggressors.
Materials provided by the instructor: All gear, guns, ammo, and safety equipment provided. (May bring own AR for Day 2, or use ours)
Materials provided by the student: Please wear good shoes/boots that you can move quickly in and a good belt that can accommodate a holster. Advised to bring a water bottle as water fountains are in training area. May bring own Pistol for Live Fire Day or use ours. Holster must be approved by Instructor Staff.
Prerequisites: All students receiving Tactical Training must be able to pass a basic background check.
Curriculum is subject to change by direction of Director of Training.
Substitutions of attendee may be made at any time. Attendees must cancel at least 72 hours prior to the course date to receive a full refund less a $15 administrative fee. For cancellations received within 48 hours of the course date no cash refunds will be provided. Instead, a one-time class rescheduling can be made. A rescheduled course must occur within 12 months from original course date. If a course has not been attended within the 12 month period all course fees are forfeited by the participant. Failure to attend the course or cancellations less than 48 hours notification will result in no refund or credit of the course fee or rescheduling. The Centennial Gun Club reserves the right to cancel or reschedule seminars at any time. IF we cancel or reschedule the seminar due to weather or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, you are entitled to a full refund. The Centennial Gun Club is not responsible for travel arrangements, travel fees, or any expenses incurred by you as a result of such cancellation.
